LIFETIME WARRANTY POLICY

Blush & Bind Lifetime Warranty

Our pieces are made to be worn, trusted, and lived in.

Blush & Bind offers a Lifetime Warranty for the life of the product on all of our leather products, for as long as Blush & Bind remains in business, provided the item has been reasonably cared for. This includes proper cleaning and conditioning, avoidance of harsh chemicals, and use within its intended purpose.

What’s Covered

Our Lifetime Warranty covers accidental damage and functional failure during normal use of our leather products, including but not limited to:

  • Rivets, snaps, or fasteners popping
  • Stitching separating or coming undone
  • Hardware failure (buckles, D-rings, O-rings)
  • Structural failure affecting safe function

This list is illustrative, not exhaustive. If something feels wrong, contact us - we will review it with care.

What “Normal Use” Means

Blush & Bind pieces are designed for consensual adult play and restraint, not extreme load-bearing.

  • Cuffs restrain hands and wrists; they are not suspension gear
  • Our products are not designed for hoisting, hanging, shock-loading, or bearing full body weight
  • All gear should be inspected before each use

Damage caused by use outside these boundaries may not be covered.

Safety Comes First  -  Always

Your safety matters more than any piece of leather.

We strongly recommend:

  • Inspecting all gear before each use
  • Using restraints only as intended
  • Never leaving a restrained partner unattended
  • Keeping safety shears or a cutting tool immediately accessible at all times

If immediate release is required, cut the gear without hesitation.

We would rather replace a piece of leather than have you pause in a moment where safety matters.

Emergency Safety Cuts & Warranty Coverage

If a Blush & Bind item must be cut in an emergency to prevent injury, this is treated differently than intentional damage.

As a one-time safety accommodation per item, we will offer repair or replacement for gear cut solely for immediate safety reasons.

  • Applies once per item
  • Reviewed case by case
  • Photos, proof of purchase, and a brief explanation may be requested

Emergencies are rare by nature. This policy exists to protect people - not to excuse misuse.

What’s Not Covered

This warranty does not cover:

  • Intentional damage (cutting, burning, carving, deliberate destruction)
    • Emergency safety cuts are addressed separately above
  • Improper storage (mold, mildew, water damage)
  • Improper cleaning (soaking, harsh chemicals, solvents)
  • Alterations or repairs performed by anyone other than Blush & Bind
  • Cosmetic wear and aging (patina, scuffing, softening, natural variation)
  • Loss, theft, or damage outside normal use

Repeated cutting of the same item or cutting for non-emergency reasons is not covered.

Repair vs. Replacement

We determine whether an item is repaired or replaced and will confirm the plan with you before proceeding.

Because our pieces are handcrafted:

  • Repairs may not restore items to “like-new” condition
  • Materials may no longer be available
  • Replacements will always be functionally equivalent, though exact color or hardware tone may vary

Custom Design Sessions (When Exact Recreation Isn’t Possible)

If we cannot recreate your item to the same specifications due to:

  • Supplier changes
  • Discontinued materials or designs
  • One-of-a-kind or heavily customized elements

We will schedule a one-on-one custom design session with you, free of charge.

This is a collaborative process where we work together to design a replacement that honors what mattered most about the original - even if it cannot be identical.

If we can’t recreate your piece exactly, we don’t make decisions for you - we make them with you.

Sentimental Items

We understand collars can be highly sentimental. In this case we may allow you to keep the original item and try to create a replacement. This is handled with care and discretion.

Shipping

  • You are responsible for shipping items to us
  • We cover return shipping using the most economical method (you may pay for expedited shipping)

Abuse of Warranty

    We reserve the right to deny claims that appear fraudulent, abusive, or inconsistent with responsible use.

    To the fullest extent permitted by law, Blush & Bind is not responsible for injury or damages arising from misuse, modification, improper care, or use outside intended purpose.

    This warranty is governed by the laws of the State of Alabama.

    To the extent permitted by law, this warranty replaces all other warranties, express or implied.
